The Patient Centered Data Home (PCDH) is a cost-effective, scalable method of exchanging patient data among health information exchanges (HIEs).
TEFCA, or the Trusted Exchange Framework and Common Agreement, is meant to define standards for interoperability as required by the 21st Century Cures Act (signed into law in December 2016).
SHIEC, an organization representing 60 HIEs, celebrated HIE’s growth and success across the country with its annual conference, SHIEC18. A packed house of 500+ attendees discussed MPI, PCDH, FHIR, TEFCA, PHM and HIE.
