In an EHR market rife with consolidation and replacement, healthcare delivery organizations (HDOs) have adopted healthcare data archival solutions to retire legacy systems. While substantial benefits may be achieved through legacy system retirement and archival, additional risks may be introduced due to missed data sets including contextual audit trails, referenced data in ancillary systems, data change & version history, and infrequently used, invisible fields or other metadata.
I work with clients and our technical resources to Implement Vital Center Online Archival (VCO-A) into their organizations. This entails following project timelines, validating systems, educating resources on the product and the validation processes, ensuring issues are found and resolved, and overall ensuring a seamless implementation for the client.
A custom solution was developed to convert EKG stored as compressed archive reports to PDF and migrate to a new EHR.
The Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS®) is a tool used by more than 90% of America’s health plans to measure performance on important dimensions of care and service. More than 184 million people – over half of the U.S. population – are enrolled in health plans that report quality results using HEDIS.
In our latest webinar, Lead Consultants Rebecca Matias & Laura Gold shared their practical experiences and expertise in deploying clinical pathways within the EHR.
